Jean-Claude Rude’s world bicycle speed record attempt of 150 mph aided by a specially-modified Porsche 935 driven by Le Mans legend, Henri Pescalaro.
The attempt was to best the previous record of 127 mph (set by Jose Meiffret in 1962). Unfortunately the rear tire burst under the pressure at 105 mph and was torn from the wheel—fortunately, the Porsche was able to safely slow to a stop without incident.
A separate trailer (not shown) was used to tow Jean-Claude’s gigantic balls.
