    One-of-a-Kind V12-Equipped Ferrari F40 by Simpson Motorsport

Built originally for the FIA GT1 in 1996, the bodywork was made from scratch in carbon with a reinforced chassis and full FIA specification roll cage. In 2001 the car was fitted with a Ferrari V12 based on the engine in the 550 Maranello. In 2005 we fitted the Hewland 6 speed sequential gearbox and further refined the chassis. It is an incredibly stiff car which is more akin to a Group C car in performance than a GT car. It is very, very fast indeed.
The car weighs 1075kgs with engine power at 550bhp. The front wheels are a large 11x18” size while the rears are a staggering 12.5x18”. The suspension includes custom wishbones, anti-rollbars and a flat bottom tray.
