    1971 Porsche 911/928 mid-engined prototype.
Per the vehicle blueprint on my page:
It’s a Porsche blueprint circa 1971 depicting a 911/928 prototype model. As you can clearly see, the drawing is marked with the serial number 911.099.00006, meaning it was to be an extension of the 911 product line. Also visible in the filing information is the fact that the prototype features a V8 of anywhere between 5- and 6-liters—which eventually became the 1977 928’s 4.5-liter V8—as well as a fairly meaty water radiator up front.
The 928 has always been one of my favorite Porsche models and I feel that this prototype is intriguing enough to live as a permanent fixture on TheAutoInsiderBlog.com.
