Jeep Grand Cherokee-based Maserati SUV envisioned.
Rumors have been floating around for years about a Maserati SUV, but are now a bit closer to reality thanks in large part to the Fiat-Chrysler partnership. Word on the street says the 2013 Maserati SUV will ride on a semi-modified Jeep Grand Cherokee platform (itself derived from the Mercedes G-Class); will feature either Chrysler’s 6.4-liter SRT mill or a Ferrari-derived V8; and to top it off, it’ll be built right here in ‘Merica.
Sounds so very Italian…
Regardless of how preposterous it all sounds, Car Mag donned their Photoshop caps and created this semi-passable illustration of what a Porsche Cayenne-fighting Trident might look like. Faccia di culo.
