Lotus revealed the heavily-revised 2012 Exige S at the Frankfurt show sporting new, more aggressively-styled bodywork and a new-for-Exige engine.
The supercharged 3.5-liter V6 from the Evora S makes its way into the new Exige making the same 345 bhp and 295 lb-ft of torque. While weight has increased from 2,077 lbs to 2,380 lbs, the added power makes good for 0-60 runs of 3.8 seconds. Not bad little squirt. Not bad at all.

According to GTSpirit, Lamborghini’s Stephen Winkelmann confirmed that a limited run of twenty Gallardo-based Sesto Elementos would be produced next year. Expect the same 570bhp V10 from the LP570-4 to propel the ultra-light to 60 in 2.5 seconds thanks to its 2193.5 lb curb weight.
The Sesto Elemento, along with the just-revealed LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale, are helping the Gallardo make one helluva statement before the new model arrives.
