Goodby, Silverstein & Partners’ first showing for Chevrolet—2011 Corvette, Still Building Rockets.

Once upon a time, a bunch of guys got together with a crazy idea.

Go farther, faster than mankind ever had before.

They dreamt with their hands. Shaped aluminum with their brains.

And the world watched and waited with baited breath.

While time has marched on and priorities have changed, it’s nice to know America still builds rockets.

After watching this a couple of times and listening to the strong, patriotic copy I’ve got to be perfectly honest and say that this first effort from Goodby is up there with (and possibly even bests) Wieden + Kennedy’s Levis ‘Pioneers’ and Dodge ‘Freedom’ spot.

    I absolutely love it.

AdAge also has some thoughts on the matter.
