    Watch: Lexus LFA Laps the Green Hell in a Record 7:14.64.
The Lexus LFA Nürburgring Edition lapped the Nürburgring Nordschleife in a record 7 minutes 14.64 seconds, besting the standard LFA by more than 8 seconds. If you’re wondering how fast that really is, consider this:
Porsche 911 GT2 RS – 7:182012 Corvette ZR1 – 7:19.63 (watch)Dodge Viper ACR – 7:22.1 (watch)
The 570bhp 4.8-liter V10 may push the gussied up Toyota beyond its “standard” production competition, but still lags behind the radically nasty Gumpert Apollo Sport (7:11.54), the not-even-really-in-the-same-class, Radical SR8 LM (6:48), and the from-another-planet Pagani Zonda R (6:47.5 – watch). Regardless, it’s still impressive, but shouldn’t that be expected from an exotic with a ten year development period?
